About PDR
PDR America is the national arm of PDR Alaska Inc.; a non-partisan, non-profit 501(c)(4) organization. PDR is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and managed by an appointed President and his staff. Founded in 2014, PDR has grown to become an effective and successful advocate in fulfilling our mission.

Trevor A. Shaw
President & Executive Director
Trevor is the President & Executive Director for PDR America, and its parent organization PDR Alaska Inc. He comes to PDR with a strong background in federalism, fiscal policy, and education reform.
Trevor was elected to the Board of Education in Ketchikan, Alaska, at 18 years old. He went on to become the youngest person to ever serve as a School Board President in the State of Alaska. Since then, he has built a solid reputation for being knowledgeable regarding policy development at all levels of government.
As the President of PDR, Trevor is responsible for the day-to-day activities and overall direction of the organization.

Cheryl Hymes
Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Cheryl works as Executive Vice President for Strategic Initiatives for PDR America. She has extensive experience relating to issues of health care, free-market capitalism, and state governance.
​
Cheryl served as a member of the Washington House of Representatives from 1995-1997; during her tenure, she was the Vice Chair of the House Health Care Committee. Cheryl is the former Health Care Reform Project Director for the Evergreen Freedom Foundation.

As the Executive Vice President, Cheryl supervises our national outreach efforts and implementation of the successful strategic initiatives program at PDR.
